So basically, the average is about 14.5 for an auto. Good condition, good cars, LSD, good tyres etc. can go low 14's and crappy ones can go high 14's, low 15's.
Neil: were those turbos ever verified to be stock? Was this before he pounded 19psi through them? :P

Shift kit would be worth quite a bit, ony my list of things to do, which reminds me I must ring MV...
Actually you guys might be able to answer this before I pepper him with dumb questions, is the Stage Two kit worth a lot more on the drag strip for the price you would pay in less streetability? What does the shift feel like?

Morgan it reminds me of Vardis $1.45 D's shift kit..
He requested a stage 1.5 initially but after some 'intuative' thinking, proceeded to ask that they make it as firm as possible. Needless to say they went all out.

The shift kit makes the car shift for performance not comfort, is that right???
How much harder will the car shift from stock to say a street/strip setup. Will it be heaps violently. And also if you have a shift kit and you give the car a bit of a boot does it loose traction into second and third and that???
How much better will the cars performance be and also what would be a price for a decent shift kit and a reputable place in Sydney that does them.
Cheers guys Sorry about the pauline hanson please explain.

Gday Bill,
Contact Niall at Bond Auto Tech in Botany Ph(02) 96666364
When i rang him 2 weeks ago, he said im looking at around $600-$650 for a stage 1 kit fitted.
I am opting for the easiest kit as mine is an every day driver, and have been told it is a massive gain from stock. In conjunction with the kick down cable adjustment as well which Niall told me about.
He also needs about $300 deposit so he can order the kit.
Unfortunatley i have to wait till next month for mine after the rear quarter and boot get repaired after some GOOBER bumped into it.

Peter is spot on Bill... Any mechanic can pull something apart and replace things and put it back together,(whether its done the right way or not, hehe), But the fact that someone knows exactly how to do things and what is the exact problem, means less labour and someone who isnt guessing with YOUR $$$$$$$..
And at the end of the day, thats the difference between a mechanic who specialises in certain brands, BWM-F

Example - blinky dash. Average mechanic says you have to replace the dash which is a couple of thousand dollars from Toyota. Soarer specialist knows you can repair the dash for a couple of hundred dollars. You choose.

How much would it cost to fix the blinky dash thing. I have been quoted around 600. Is that around the mark.
The original dash the fuel Gauge went then i got a replacement dash with no km, clock or gear selection.
So i guessed it is more important to know how much fuel you have for the time being that how many km you have traveled. I am guessing the km will read 124xxx for a while but the fuel can be gone in a week or two.
Also which one will be better to fix??? I would want to keep the original because of the km the car has done. I have seen a article on how to do it and it looks like a $10 job.
