Juat thought you'd like a question that you'd have to THINK about instead of listening to all the 'hava chats' HAHAHAHAHA!!!
What I was wondering is IF I were to install a wet noz system into my vehicle, without using direct porting, where would be the best place to install the 'Nozzle'? All the shops that have anything to do with this in Adelaide only seem interested in 4cyl buzboxes or big block 8s. The closest I have come to an answer is installing it in the intercooler piping right off the turbos, meaning I will have a highly explosive vapour running right across the front of my car, not handy in the event of a collision!!! Would it be appropriate to mount in ti intercooler piping just before the inlet manifold, or is it just to much bother to worry about. And just before the rest of you pipe up, I'm only after a 80-90hp shot to be used on the strip only, mkay?
Well, N20 itself isn't flammable. It needs to be mixed with something else to make a *bang*. When used on an engine, it pretty much takes the place of oxygen, but produces a much increased explosion (at cooler temps too). I can't say where the best placement would be, but just had to mention about the (non)flammability of N20.
I dont think you can use a wet system without direct porting it. thats what i was told when i talked to them, better off getting a dry nos kit. and feeding it after the cooler...

Ok people, i know that nitrous isn't flamable by itself, but in a wet kit the nos is mixed with fuel, having that vapour running through the sore is no high on my priority list. And yes you can use a wet system without direct porting, I have been given a Nos dealer book, has every conceivable setup under the sun in it, except for intercooled turbos. I've emailed Holley's engineers to get their ideas as well. Might end up beeing easier to rebuild the turbos and wind up the boost something silly?!?
