After reading numerous posts of the hassles people have with removing their oil filters I thought I'd post a pic of my removal tool.
Eas to make, and haven't come across a filter yet that couldn't be taken out.

Place it over the filter, wrap it up tight, and with a 3/4 ratchet undo the filter!
There isn't alot of room on TT's for a normal removal tool, but there is more than enough room for this tool and a ratchet.
The belt section is just a length of seatbelt sash that was stitched together at the ends and slotted into the bar. Simple but damn effective.

The simplest things are usually the best.

I just use my hands to undo it and tighten it up when i change my oil. Sometimes i do it, Sometime i get my mechanic to do it.

Mines a big screwdriver. Drive it through the middle and twist :-)

Had a prick of a time getting mine off the other day. :-(

We have a very similar home made one lying around our garage =P

If you are too slack to make one though, get a belt! Works just as good.

There is an even easier tool and guess what toyota make it and sell it through their parts sales network. I sold my one the other week on here to a lucky person for only $22 bucks as I have a relocation kit now.
