Hi guys,
Just in the process of fixing all the that the previous owner has done, and looking over the stock BOV setup, he has disconected the small pipe in the neck of the BOV, removed that hose with the filterlookin thing on it, and not plugged where it connectes to the other smaller line coming out of the top of the BOV. Heres a pic to make it clearer.
It seems to me that he has removed the large diameter pipe from the BOV and plugged it. The large diameter pipe looks like it is post turbo, while the pipe the BOV itself is attached to is Preturbo. I'm a little confused how this is working, if it is at all! I think ill just hook it all back up right, and take it down the local workshop...

Dave put the 2 hoses back on and see if the boost is OK if it is then it is working no need top take to workshop to get it done. if it isn't working i have 2 hangin around down here. Lew
The way i see it, the two small pipes that are meant to be connected in the Y piece, just create a constant vaccum, one for the opening and closing of the BOV (i have a stock one on my desk here, nice paper weight). I don't know why the return pipe on the BOV is so dogily clamped up, i guess the BOV is working as an Atmospherical one at the moment. Good luck with putting it back together, should not be a hassle at all. Might pay to reset the ECU after it all, if the car is reacting differently to changed vaccum signals (mine played up when i removed my 2nd BOV and tried blocking up the line.)

The BOV In the Soarer works back the other way when compared to Most Aftermarket one. As the pipe that is blocked comes off the pipe that is after the Turbo. So the BOV it self is mounted to the intake pipe before the turbo. So every time you shut the throttle (change Gear)all that pressure forces it way back through the Turbos. Unless there is a After market BOV along there somewhere. I would check for an After market BOV and if none are there hook the original back up.
