hey everyone,

i've Got a problem with my car which just happened recently.

Basically when ever im in "D" gear and when im at a still, eg. at the lights, the whole car starts to rumble and shake say whenever on idle. but when i start rolling going pass say 1000rpm the car drives smoothly.

id put the gear in neutral and the car wouldn't rumble at all.

has anyone experienced this and has a solution on how this could be fixed?

My soarer seems to do the same thing and I have been lead to believe I need a new gearbox or engine mount or maybe both :p

When my car was Auto i had the same problem RPM would drop to 600rpm when in D at the lights and shake, and was so annoying, So in the end it became a habit of mine to just click it to N while at the lights and it would idle 700rpm perfectley. i never really worried about it too much, and drove perfect.

My car is now Manual so i dont have that trouble any more ;)

Although i need a tune cause its idiling to high.

hey shane, i remember seeing your car at nialls for the manual conversion, did you change your dash as well since you did a conversion?

Sounds like an ISCV problem.
I dont have problems with vibration, the frikkin alternator dims the lights at low revs.

ah damn...
with the iscv, would it be okay if i just unbolt it off and cleaned it with wd40 and just slap it back in ? or would it cause some damage to the idle?

It says you can just clean it with wd40 or some solvent because its basically metal.

Thats what im gonna do, just carefully :-)

Dont use any kind of carby cleaner, that stuff kills gaskets. Even a carby guy told me that,hehe.
