It's not very hard at all fellas.
Stuff required: - You or a slave - Toyota 4litre Red Coolant (Part#: 08889-80086) - Distilled water - A Toyota/Lexus Soarer
I didn't need to jack up my car, even though it was lowered.
Make sure the engine has cooled down. I gave it an hour too cool if the engine was running at normal operating temperature. I forgot one time and the engine had trouble starting, it was seizing perhaps? No permanent damage luckily!!!
Step 1 - Draining First of all, empty the coolant reservoir. I unscrewed mine, unplugged the hose and gave it a thorough clean with the garden hose. Put it back. After the engine has cooled, take off the radiator cap and unscrew a plastic butterfly plug until a stream of coolant comes out from the spout beneath it. It was on the bottom left hand-side of my 91 model radiator, could be different for yours (red circle in pic). Or if you can't find the plug, undo the large hose and enjoy the shower (green circle in pic).
Step 2 - Flushing Plug/screw everything back in and refill with just water through the radiator cap opening. It's safe to use tap water, but if your picky then burn your cash on distilled water. Start the engine and let it run for about 5-10mins to flush the old coolant out. Repeat drain procedure.
Step 3 - Refill Make sure you use the legendary Toyota 4litre Red Coolant. Pre-mix it 50/50 with distilled water, refill the radiator and top up the coolant reservoir.
