Clean the ISCV (Idle Speed Controller Valve) Needs to be removed from the end of the intake manifold and cleaned with acetone/carby cleaner.
Watch out for the gasket, the radiator water lines, and the rubber piece that sits within the valve system.
1200rpm sounds fine, it is lower than other soarers but its should not be detrimental by any means. If your idle is rough, clean the ISCV other wise it may not be worth the trouble. There are tutorials floating about off memory.
