Hey guys,

I have done a lot of searching on this site and cannot find a thread which goes thru what parts are necessary and or what fluids need flushing with the 100,000kms service.

I would like to get everything that needs to be replaced and have it running perfectly before I mod it.

if

Thanks guys.

Fuel Filter, Oil Filter, Camshaft Timing Belt ( always good to replace the tensioner whilst doing this, will save you time and money later on) Spark plugs, Air filter. Check your climate control filters also. When they get dirty, they restrict flow through them.

And as James has mentioned, Change All your fluids.

How about timing belt, water pump etc ?

When we get a definitive list, how about a moderator makes a permanent thread under the "maintenance category" as it was the first place I went to look for answers on maintaining :D

All these people wanting to know about their 100k service, HA, I'm 4600km off my 200K service!!! Water pump and timing belt were done under waranty at 150k though so shouldn't be that pricey, I hope...

http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3514

quote from me from toymods:
To start off I assume i need:

water pump (1610049846 )
spark plugs ngk bkr6e
oil I am using Shell Ultra 5w/50 i think
oil filter 90915-20003 (or 90915-20001)
transmission fluid dexron III (or toyota type IV)
timing belt tensioner (1350546020)
crankshaft seal (not necessary) (9031146001)
camshaft sealx2 (not necessary) (9031138041)
fuel filter (Need Part number)
thermostat (Need Part number)
coolant standard toyota red coolant 4L topup with demineralised water

/end quote from me from toymods

I haven't done the service for the car yet (it is on 98000 k's) and i still need to gather a couple of things before i can do it.
Neil griffiths is able to supply a timing belt and bearing for a good price too.
and there should be a fair amount of info lying around on this forum already

FFS use toyota coolant!!! My mate runs a radiator shop that is sponsored by tectaloy and even then he still sings the high praise for the toyota coolant! Not to mention that if you are using an oem water pump, the waranty goes out the window if you use aftermarket coolant.

useless info:
i heard coolant is made by only 2 places in Australia--companies only add crap to it later on..... (useless fact i found out).....just like oil, only Mobil and one other company supply the oil bases to the world....everyone else does their own thing to it... (thats why i think Mobil 1 is king )...

hi everyone. i have a 92 TT and i'm coming up to my 100,000k service as well. i'm wondering if there's anything i should be looking at turbo wise?

as far as i can tell they dont blow any smoke, and i still get a good 10 psi during boost (according to my gauge)

should i consider also getting my injectors cleaned as well? or would a bottle of the pour in stuff suffice?

i probably would not bother with pulling your injectors out just to clean them unless they have been giving you dramas.

Sure run a bottle of cleaner through it... cant hurt.

I usully use some sludge remover stuff that i add to the engine oil before a service, so when it drains it apparently takes most the crap with it.

Oil stabilisers are another favorite for many... products like "Motor Up" etc.
