Hey guys, Does anyone know how to install a Greddy FCD on a TT soarer? What wires go where? im assuming it is similar to a HKS one as far as installations go. Just need to know what wire goes FROM the ECU to the MAP sensor. and What wire goes from the MAP sensor to the ECU :-)

Well UPDATE:-) Here is a link i found in the archives if anyone else needs help finding some ECU wires for any FCD related issues.

Does anyone know if the ECU plugs on the 1jzgte and 2jzgte are the same? Are the same wires running to the same pins?>

Do you have a 1JZ ECU pin-out? I MAY have one somewhere on my PC.

Ok, I have here what seems to be the 1JZGTE Pin out from a 30 model soarer. I just need to work out which is the correct wire to splice a Greddy BCC into. Here is the link:-

http://www.trackdaymedia.com/~manny/Tech%20&%20Diag/1JZGTE__JZZ30__pinouts.pdf

Love your work Manny. Just need to know which is the wire i need to splice into for the BCC. IM assuming its the Map sensor wire? The Pin out that is marked PM i am assuming? Any help would be great thanks :-)

Daniel,

You need to cut the 'PM' wire going to the ecu. The resulting cut end that goes to the MAP sensor connects to the BCC white input wire. The other cut end that goes to the ECU connects to the BCC Green output wire.

Thats it.

Then follow this snippet from the MKIV site;

MKVI wrote on Saturday, August 12, 2006 - 10:30 pm:

Inside the BCC shell is a screw that provides adjustment of the peak voltage output. Since the ECU uses the MAP sensor output voltage data for many functions, you want this set only as low as needed to avoid fuel cut, and not unnecessarily lower. The setting as it comes from Greddy is usable but lower than necessary, and varies from unit to unit. You could roughly set it by just repeatedly driving your car at max boost and slowly turning the screw counterclockwise to reduce the peak voltage output until you no longer hit fuel cut.

Cheers

Well, Just finished installing the Greddy FCD....... OMG, How good is THIS :-) Instead of hitting boost cut round 12.7 or so( would pop on and off at this level) Now its running 14.5 Np problems at all.

Thanks for you help their Cihan:-) I noticeds though, that all the wires i needed to splice into on the ECU harness, Had already been spliced and male/female plugs installed. Makes me think it had a FCD on it at some stage in its life. Oh well, ITS GOT ONE NOW..... YAY.

Hoping to run it at WSID this week if it dont rain. Ran 13.7 last week at a measly 12.6psi. Im thinking 14.5psi or so should see me in the 13.4-13.5 region for the 1/4 mile. That would be Awsome.
Gonna redyno the car also to get the AFR's checked and a fresh readout to compare it to before hand.
Im guessing now the Voltage is clamped, it should be running leaner throught the rev range under WOT conditions, so like a poor mans Safc? Will keep ya updated.

Thats good Daniel :-)
Good feeling running 15psi without fuel cut drama's isnt it? That bloody stutter and pop circus act..

As you pointed out, its going to lean itself out under WOT when it spikes over 15psi, in essence its a poor mans S-AFC, good way to put it

Let us know how WSID goes :-)

It wont go that lean, I run my car with a FCD and 15psi on the dyno and it was still running 10.5:1 AFR's.

Good luck at WSID Danny, be sure to stall the christ out of it, and get a 2.00 60' time. If you can do that, you will come home a happy man.

Was only stalling it up to 2,000-2,200 rpm so i didnt waste any runs. Could still get some more off the line, but a 13.47 @ 105.29 MPH IS Awsome for what little Mods i have! Cant wait to get it on the Dyno to see what kind of HP difference. Running almost 4mph more than previous.

Also found out why last week my mph was down a little. Was missing a bolt completely from the flange on my down pipe! Car is running so strong.
Well, Im a VERY Happy Man. now to the Track Times to get me updated on the list, Night peoples
