I don't mean to sound depressing but what is it with people buying eBay parts lately? I know it is good for some things but it seems there is a lot of poor quality product on there. Get what you pay for I guess.

Luke; Most of the stuff on ebay is crap. but just every now and then some thing pops up that isn't to bad Manifolds is a good example . You just have to read the decription properly and see what it is made out of. Simon's car has an ebay manifold on his 2j (i put on it over 2 years ago) my old motor so far it hasn't let him down (or i just haven't heard about it if it has)

Maybe I should have looked at the link, but just posted in a bit of a fit with the dump pipes thread going at the moment as well and just other stories I hear. Maybe we need an eBay list for members? Like what works and what doesn't, could work.

I've bought a single turbo manifold off ebay and its very good quality, it hasn't let me down. You just have to be careful with who you're dealing with.

I prefer brands or proof before I buy now. I brought some T clamps off ebay (how could you F them up right?) well they were too small for 3" with silicon and they were cheap and nasty. I think I'm using one out of the 5-6 I brought, now thats value. :P
Actually I think I brought them off some one decent too like justjap... you know someone with a 'name'.

That MTR 6 into 1 manifold looks very similar to my manifold even has the stupid angle on the 4 bolt flange for the turbo. Stupid in that its impossible to fit the turbo on it, so it needs to be cut and rewelded on. Its also a T4 flange which my one also had made for massive turbos like T88's. If your using a GT30R/GT35R like everyone else it'll need to be cut off and replaced. Other than that, manifold is great, hasn't cracked yet, touch wood.
Also says you can use 4" down pipe, thats not true on a right hand drive soarer. We tried, its just to close to the steering shaft taking into account movement that occurs. I have a 3.5" down pipe instead. Probably works on US supras and soarers but.

Say if I was to buy a Manifold like that and a turbo to fit on it what else would I need to finish the job and roughly how much. Only things i can think of at the moment is bigger injectors and a computer of some sort but not sure would be the best.

How big is your wallet. Do you want to do it cheaply or properly?
My single turbo conversion just the manifold, turbo, bov, wastegate, lines, pipes, cost me around $5500 fully fitted. Then you got supporting mods, like injectors, pump, ecu, suspension, brakes, cooling, tyres, diff, gearbox...
