Hey all,
I own a 1998 LS400 with 200k on it.
I just put it in for the major service and was told that the tranny oil was dirty (even though lexus should have been replacing it I bet they didnt) and that the gearbox mount is broken.
I have rang Lexus who have one for about 90 bucks but my mechanic said he has one from a v8 soarer perhaps 91-94 model.
Does anyone know if the gearbox mounts from an early LS400 or sc v8 will fit onto the 1998 gearbox even though its a 5 speed automatic on the 98 model?

Ugly smugly, and that's how it came out. No covers; they don't fit VVTi engines because of that lovely eletronically controlled variable length intake manifold. Its got 50NM of torque and 40kW over the last of the non-VVTi engines so it's Beautiful and a nearly brand new A/C compressor and that's what really counts just right now.
I really don't know. I would prefer to sell the 'box as well though. I'll have a talk to Gramps and see what it's worth.
