Well I called up my local Toyota parts department and they quoted me around $87 NZD for a 4l tin of Genuine ATF IV in the 4 liter tins... Is this reasonable price or way to high?

Who knows any cheaper places in New Zealand that can supply these?

If you are talking about the Type IV stuff, I think I pay $25-$28 AUD per 4L container from my local auto parts store.

That sounds pretty dear Mike

In May of this year I bought 3 4L tins of Type IV.
2 of them cost me $57.38 ea + GST, and the last one cost $63.12 + GST.

These incidently were Trade prices to me.

The retail price on the invoice is $74.26 + GST, so $87 inc.GST is on reflection probably about right.

See if you can get trade price through a mate or something, then you should be paying about $70.98 inc.GST per tin.

And Toyota Type IV is ONLY available from Toyota.

Just say its trade and pinch some garage name if they ask you who you work for. They never check.

Wow, the exchange rate must be REALLY crap these days. Surely you could try Castle Hill Toyota or someone else over here on the mainland and save a few bucks.
