So I'll take that as a 'NO'. I couldn't find anything in search either. It might have been a good inclusion as there were other vehicles of this vintage which had that feature.

Pretty sure it happens in mine. Goes warm for a second or so when under heavy load.

OooooooooK, I'll take that as a 'YES' then. So if I floor it to overtake for example, I won't have to be concerned about misjudging my pass time because of the power robbed by the air con. Thank you Jan and Neil, I'll include you in my insurance contract.

Further to this, does anyone know how the a/c is hooked up to the ecu.

http://conceptual.net.au/~peewee/wiring/uzz31_into_mx73_wiring_2.gif

Looking at that diagram, ACMG needs to be earthed to engage the compressor clutch.
So is A/C a +12v input from the climate unit? or is it an earth input from the climate unit?
Which inturn will internally earth ACMG and engage the clutch.

Hmmm, earth the input, damn.
My A/C switch is a +12v output (like most switches that directly engage the compressor).

Oh well, relay time I guess.

And Richard, a couple more what?
Thats a US Spec ecu diagram that I've modded to suit my UZZ30 harness and how I've wired it in.
