Hi all. Can anyone help me with EMV diagnostics? I have the new style EMV (a 96 V8 uXZZ31). Is there one of these keypress ACC/ON tricks to invoke EMV diagnostics? The recommended procedure (for old style EMV) doesn't work, sadly. Thanks in advance.

I don't think the later models do diagnostics (Quite possibly wrong however)

OK Thanks, Certainly I've not discovered anything at all. Also seems as though the trip computer etc has gone. I gather that this model of EMV is also unsuitable for the Vlad upgrade as well. Of course, if it doesn't do diagnostics, it makes it easier to rip out and replace...just need to find a way to externalise aircon and vent options, since they are the only things left in the EMV non ICE related.

I believe the later model soarers have OBD II, Which as I understand is a standardised diagnostics thing.

Any good mechanic that works on late model vehicles should be able to plug their reader in and get the codes.

Someone may be able to correct me on that, though.

Dan, that's also helpful, thanks.
The car isn't listed here...
http://www.obdii.com/connector.html
but it provide useful info. I'll go hunting for the connector later.
