my car has started making a rattling/grinding noise whenever my car hits around 1900/2000rpm. When under load/stress. E.G. up a hill does not happen when rolling or decreasing speed. I have been advised that its more than likely the catalytic converter does this sound right or any other theories on what it might be. Thanks guys.

Difficult to answer accurately, but a rattle at that speed could be the internals of a muffler which have come loose. A grinding noise sounds more like a wheel bearing, but again it's hard to say with little information. Where exactly do you feel it is coming from?
