Hi Guys,

I started my car the other day and the starter did not turn off... it kept running even after engine was started! I then suddenly turned it off but the starter kept going with the engine off so I quickly started it and it stopped with the engine started...
Rather Bizarre!

My guesses are that either: Starter clutch is sticky? Needs a grease up? Or some electrical issue thinking the starter needs to keep going?

After this it started up perfectly fine though... So any ideas?

Electrical, stuck relay would be my guess.

Its a pull type starter isn't it? Could be the return is worn, or could be caused by damaged ring gears.

Except that doesn't explain why the starter stayed on when the ignition was turned off. :-)

Hmm I think you could be right Pen, Any idea what relay I should inspect?
