i was hoping my new engine mounts would cure the clunk i get when ever you stab or let off the throttle but alas its still exactly the same i had a look at the prop donut bushes and diff mount bushes and they all look ok but one thing i did notice is you could easily turn the prop an inch either way until you could feel mechanical things stopping it,this was with the box in neutral,is this a normal amount of lash? and where is the clunk coming from its virtually impossible to accelerate/decel with out making it clunk no matter how gentle you are, gear changes have no clunk at all and i cant feel the clunk thru the shifter. thanks.

Hi Steven My uzz31 does the same as your car but only when you let go of the accelerator very fast but I think its normal, I was a bit worried about it but my mechanic re-greased the shaft that goes from the transmission to the diff and it is going away every day more and more, So try to do this otherwise check that your cats or your exhaust isnt hitting anything?? And also do you hear the sound when moving the shifter from P to D?
