Hi just, I just noticed this rattling sound while turning slowly down my drive way. Came from front right, was like a 'tinking' type rattle which changed as I moved the steering wheel around and completely stopped if I put the car in neutral....
I'm not sure if it could have something to do with the power steering pump or suspension air compressor even...
Any ideas about this rattle?

Hi Mike, Check the sway bar mounts. They loose the top bolt and it tears the bracket in half. Not a hard job to weld back up. Then check other side as it will proberly about to happen as well. Cheers Bon Bon

Don - Possibly, Im very fussy with strange sounds!
Phil - Does that apply to the celsior which Ive got as well as the soarer?
Lee - Hmm It may pay to do a full flush on the PS unit. Probably hasn't been done for sometime. I was planning to do it soon, so might have to do it asap.

Little metal clips that fit between the brake caliper and the brake pads. Not sure if the Celsior uses them, but I think most Toyota's do. Julie's car had a similar rattle to yours a few years ago and I traced it to a missing clip - it cost me about $2 in second hand clips from T-Part (had to buy a whole set off a wreck), and 10 minutes work to pull the brake pad out and replace the clips.
