Hey Guys,
Well, Since I got my new radiator cap to replace the worn out and probably original 16 year old one, the red coolant has been leaking out of the top of the coolant level sensor leaving a lovely red mess all over the top of the tank which drys up soon after going for a drive. I'm convinced its caused by the full sealing ability of the new cap compared to the old one so pressure builds up causing fluid to ease its way up the sensor.
Its no big deal, but makes an unsightly mess in my other wise immaculate engine bay.
So my question is, other than a replacement are there any ways to fix it and stop the leaks? With say a sealant or something?
Looking through some other peoples engine pay pictures Ive also noticed this problem so obviously its rather common.
Please post a link if there are any other threads on this issue that could help me out!

Ah I see. I might do a bit of experimenting to fix it. But if worse comes to worse Ill replace my tank when the time calls for it.
Interestingly it had to be done on the soarer of mine so it was expected in a way for the celsior to also require it as well. Its just one of those things I guess
Forgot to mention that my sensor had split inside which allowed the coolant to flow up the middle of the sensor. Also the new brass one we got also needed an "O" ring.
