I have a ICV fitted with a 1UZFE from a Crown half cut, a R154 gearbox using the stock ECU. The only thing I have done to the motor are extractors and replaced the throttle body with one with a single butterfly. The problem I have is the motor, even when up to the normal operating temp has the smell of a rich mixture when idling, and the fuel consumption is pitiful. I have done about 500klm since the car was registered, which I thought would be enough for the ECU(standard crown) to adjust to its new environment. It has a couple of other problems such as high idle, but this comes good on occasions and then idles well. At the moment it is idling fast(950rpm)The motor also has trouble idling along and tends to be jerky. I adjusted the TPS which gave me a slight improvement. There a few problems which together could be masking the real problem. I have new spark plugs(iridium), leads, distributer caps and rotors. If anyone has any ideas please tell me as I have checked and checked and I cannot see anything obvious.
