hi all, read a thread on here the other day but i lost it.... i'm looking for some ideas about a clunking sound coming from the front right hand side of my soarer, it happens when im turning over slightly to heavily bumpy roads and even when driving over slightly grated/bumpy roads... read on a thread that it might be a loose caliper, others said that it might be that the rotar is loose and i'm open to any other ideas.
firstly, how would i be able to tighten the caliper (or check to see if it was loose) and secondly, how would i be able to fix the rotar disc if it is loose?

Hey Anthony, I have had simular noise and it was a broken sway bar mount. If it is the top bolt falls out and tears the mount allowing the bar to move around. Cheers

Hi Anthony, you can see it when you look from the top of the engine near the battery and behind the airbox, one each side of the car. You will see the bar run across the front of the car and just follow it and it will run to the mounts. If you can get your hand to it, give it a pull up and down.It shouldnt move. This way you wont need to take anything off but if unsure if damage I put car on ramps, take plastic guard off and is easy to see and reach. The bracket has 3 bolts in it and the top one vibrates out and it stresses the bracket and tears it. I sugest spring washers or loctite the bolts back in and check other side brackets as mine was loose on other side. With the caliper being loose it would only be a couple of bolts require tightening. Havent taken a front rotor disc off a soarer but done plenty on other cars but on other cars it would be the front wheel bearings loose. Jack car up and put hands at 12 and 6 o clock and push and pull and it should be all tight. You dont want the wheel to rotate while doing that check. Hope I am right with the bracket because it is a easy fix. Hope this helps. Cheers, Phil
