Hi, just joined bought a 1991 32 a week ago. Thought I would give the engine a bit of a clean with some degreaser, I wish I hadn't it took me 3 days to get it running again, initially a coil lead blew out so I bought a set of leads $190.00 for the Top gun leads, it was still running on 4 cylinders after replacing the coil lead, then I discovered the rotor on the left bank had blown the top off and been chewed up. I replaced cap and rotor $97.00 from Toyota, this got it running on 8 again but it is not running well. I will replace plugs the PK20TR-11 are $11.00 each from Toyota and change out the other cap and rotor, anybody had this rotor problem?

Welcome Stephen.
You don't say whether or not you used water to spray the engine bay or not. If you did, you may find you will have to clean out the hollow where the plugs fit.
If you have access to compressed air this could help you out.

Yes I did use water, but was careful where I sprayed it, all is good now new leads and plugs, the plugs looked like they had never been changed before and a couple of leads were open.

Std plugs are good for 100,000 K's so they probably hadn't been changed....
