Hi i just bought some seafoam off amazon to run through the soarer and when i watched some videos on youtube of other people using seafoam most say to change the oil after treatment, but when i read the bottle and look at the seafoam website it doesn't mention having to change the oil anywhere? So what i'm really trying to ask is has anyone here used this product and is an oil change necessary? any info would be helpful thanks.}

I'm not so sure as it's a good idea to use it at all. You might find that the carbon was doing a good job in sealing minute places where oil could pass through. I wouldn't be surprised if oil consumption went up after doing this.

From looking around the web I've seen nothing but good reports from people who have used it.
And many people saying beware, but haven't used it them selves.
I suppose it's gonna be one of those sorta 50:50 things. It wont damage your engine, it just may make problems that are already there more noticable.
I've ran what I assume is a similar thing made by nullon, haven't had any problems, mind you I didn't notice any major difference in my engines happiness. It didn't even buy me chocolate as a thank you, lousy 2 bit engine.

I ran the seafoam through the vacuum line and some in the oil itself yesterday morning before i took my car in for a service. And i don't know if it was the seafoam or the service but my car seemed to feel healthier and a bit more responsive. when i picked my car up i told the mechanic that i had used the seafoam in the oil that morning and he told me that the oil that came out seemed quiet clean. ( i was too embarrassed to tell him that it was about 10k overdue ) maybe the seafoam had something to do with the cleanliness of the oil??

Yeah, it's a strong solvent and it diluted the oil. But it also thins the oil and provides less lubrication for your bearings while it's in there. Many a motorcycle engine has spun a big end because of petrol contaminating and thinning the oil.
