Hey all ive done abit of a search and found a couple of reasons but i was wondering if anyone could help me anyways. My car is stalling everywere unless i have my foot on the throttle to keep the revs up.. So i am driving everywere with one foot on the throttle and the other braking when needed..

I had the exact same problem. After trying everything, found it to be the ECU. Replaced it and the problem was resolved for me. But did all the initial checks first. Thought it was a fuel pump ecu but did not turn out to be that either.

i have exactly the same problem...bought another fuel ECU, and that didnt help...mind you...living in the middle of the bloody desert at Hicksville doesnt make for an easy repair of anything....sooooo....main ECU perhaps?....anyone have any other ideas?....or do i just piss the car off and get a Skoda?...

forgot to add...theres a black plastic box, sitting in a cradle, right next to the ABS nodule...when the engine cuts out, or is turned off, theres this prolonged buzz sound coming from it....god, im tired of Soarers.....

woooohooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!...did the 'pull the damn idle control valve clean up thingy'...and now shes a go like the shower of 750rpmish idle, and much more responsive on the road....as i gently stroked her A pillar, we shared a moment...god, i luv my soarer!....
