I want to put a ram air induction from that same panel you've used, but obviously would need a FMIC or else the side intercooler isn't going to get any decent air.
I wouldn't have made it with tubes, instead cut up some cardboard cut to shape and then fibreglass when it suits.
It's a big ish project and something for my future.
On a NA 1.5L charade I had a tube like yours from my frontbar ram air induction into my panel filtered airbox and used a resister in the intake air temp sensor line so it read about 5c colder than it really was so that it was a slight bit more fuelly all throughout.
I easily gained a lot of power by removing the stock (incredibly restrictive) and then a bit more as i picked up speed. It really improved throttle response and top end power. It became a little asthmatic when previously driving it. The baffles and small intake kept the engine quiet.
I don't think that's such a huge problem or restriction on the jzz31. The design of the car is totally different.
