Hey all, just curious as to where everyones revs are at when doing 100km/h?
Mine sit at around 2200. Not sure if that's normal as my Holden sits at around 1800.
Any feedback would be great, thanks.

As far as i know, that's normal. Also, i was driving a V6 VS commondoor and noticed that it sits at 1800.
I don't know if that makes it more economical.

Could be due to the fact that they run 3.9 diff gears in the V8's for memory.

A ratio like that would mean higher rpms at cruising speeds :-)

At 100 Km/h a stock V8 should do a bit over 2200 RPM while a TT should do a shade over 2300. My manual requires 2490 RPM for the same speed.

These figures may vary up or down by 3% depending on your wheel and tyre combination (assuming they are legal).

Comparison with a Commodore is unimportant. Cars have different engines, rev ranges and gearing.
