I recently had the soleniodes changes on the V8 auto. Since then I have noticed a marked improvement in the fuel consumption. Prior to the work, the auto box was working, the only problem I experienced was the O/D would not dis-engage (sporadic). Overall the box worked fine, sluggish in putting the foot down, ie it didn't seem to want to do anything.
Now the auto changes down when I put my foot down and the O/D works like it should. It seems an added bonus was the fuel consumption improvement.
