Hello,

My a/c system has had no pressure in it for some time so my guess is it has a leak and needs a servicing, it seems a little pointless as I dont need a/c in this particular car for its purpose so I think it would be best to just by pass it and not have the belt go to it, would be nice to take a bit of strain off the engine giving it a couple more HP through the wheels, has anyone conclusively tested this?

If its possible, does anyone know on which belt (Part number) would suit that sort of arrangement for the 1UZFE? I recall some posts about this, but had no luck finding them!

No AC with summer coming up? Even with my sunroof open and windows down I wouldn't cope! Guess you have the option of the Honda now if its too hot though.

Yeah it will be annoying at times but ehh, I can live with it.

Its not a vital part of the car, and my guess is it will need more than just a re gas so I'd rather just cross the system off.

Oh, and you'll be lucky to gain 0.00001hp by removing the belt from around the aircon pulley.

Hi,

Are these belts the same for a 32? my pressor is dodgy and may destroy itself in the near future and I may have to bypass it.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure the belt setup on the 32 is completely different, and would require a different length (if its even possible)

Yeah, I just figured theres no point letting it spin when I dont intend to use it.

I'll just be interested to see if there is any noticeable change in anyway from doing it myself.
