I pestered Neil for 3 Months for these headers, they arrived last week. They have now been installed along with Lukey 2.25" straight through S/Steel mufflers, twin 2.25" S/S system, S/S merge/cross over and metal cats. While it was up on the hoist I also replaced the engine mounts and gear box mount, they were separated, as expected. The power steering reservoir return line did not survive the shifting of the engine to replace the engine mounts and it had to be replaced as well. It sounds great, doesn't drone under load, and now with the BFI upgrade completed, is one less item on my list.
Edit - I should also add that I also fitted new oxygen sensors, they were only $59.90 each.

Whats the difference under foot ?
Brett, The difference is more than I expected, maybe I am cynical but I didn't expect much more than a bit of V8 rumble. I should have re-set the ECU because of the new 02 sensors but I was too busy dealing with the leaking power steer hose they broke and the flat battery, I was just glad to drive out of there. The difference is remarkable!

Last plans I read about were only to apply to "new" imports, and will not be retroactively enforced. If you car is registered prior to the law instatement date, you will not be required to make your vehicle comply. I figure the cats are so old now they probably aren't doing anyone any good anyway, so out they go.

Its interesting though.
On my Green UZZ30, the cat matrix was intact, same with my Celsior and my UZZ31 I have at the moment. All on cars ranging from 16-18 years!
I think their efficiency decreases over time but they were still flowing okay, I have seen some shocking ones where they have collapsed and had carbon built up around them. Nasty!
I'm going to take my cats out when its time to get headers, I feel its a better way to go about it.
CANT WAIT!

Here's my Soarer, with it's cat back system lightly powering up the drive. To my ears it's a good sound that can only get better with a set of headers....

Guys will soon be putting a set of extractors on a v8 soarer as well, I will do before and after dyno to see difference. Recently did 1uzfe engine conversion into 76 mercedes, although had to use crown headers, and has killed the performance.

The Crown headers only kill upper end performance (>5000rpm). Down low you won't notice much of a difference. But you can definitely feel the difference in the top end.

Sounds nice Mike! yea I want to do the same, take the cats out when i get the headers, remove the cat-back and get some new rear mufflers. Who did your cat-back system again?

Andrew, I thought that to be the case as well. Hence I didn't have to much concern about the crown headers. The car actually revs out quite well, its just dead down low. Recently had a full diagnostics done, and supposedly ok. Just about all ignition electronics have been replaced. So a couple of days at efi performance, and the conclusion we made was the poor header design was killing power everywhere. It feels like your towing a trailer.

Andrew, I'm not saying I'm right, just drew that conclusion from process of elimination. When I say revs out ok, well it revs out not that its making any power up there. But besides that its just dead until 3000 rpm, it literally can't spin the wheels even in the wet, and it has a shorter diff ratio than donor celsior.
