When it comes to these 100k services etc, how do i know what i have to do/what HAS been done if the receipts i got with the car don't show anything like that being done? Don't wanna waste money doing stuff that's been done or doesn't need doing. Or is it best to do them anyway because otherwise it will do damage?

Main things that need doing, are the following.
Cam Belt Water pump Serpentine belt Leads Spark plugs Rotors Distributors Fuel Filter Air filter Trans fluid if not done. Good time to do fan fluid. Coolant / thermostat - even if already done - the water pump will like new TLLC Various Bearings. PCV valve clean
Probably a few other things here and there.
I'm doing pretty much everything I can do. I figured why not - even if its not vital and still working, all the parts on this car are 18 years old so I'd rather be happy knowing they are as good as new, things like the starter I'm replacing since the intake system is off. Not taking it all off again that's for sure!
