my car is leaking oil and it coming from the transmission kit does anyone know how much a knew kit would cost and how much would a mechanic charge to replace the old with the knew

Hi Shadi do you mean it is engine oil coming from between the motor and transmission. If so it could be a leaky sump gasket or the rear main seal. If it is transmission fluid it could be the seal on the torque converter. The price of the repair depends on your mechanic.

But if it is the rear main seal it shouldn't be to much more then $500 from a specialised transmission mechanic.

At least mine was $500 anyway. From memory the seal it self was $33 genuine Toyota.

Most likely rear engine oil seal, replace the front gearbox seal while you are at it.
