Hey guys, I’ve put a 6sp diff into my soarer and the three pronged yolk on the end of the 6sp diff is larger than the 5sp diff and therefore the tail shaft is smaller and wont align with the yolk rubber. I was wondering if anyone knows whether it’s possible to change the yolk on the end of the diffs over so the tail shaft and diff align with the yolk rubber?

yeh got the 6sp box in and tailshaft is all correct length and stuff just need the 3 pronged yolk swapped over on the diff. I was told that I'd need to get a diff specialist to do it to adjust preload, backlash etc so I don't destroy the 6 speed diff in a short amount of time? any additional feedback regarding that?

yeh that's what i was thinking...but i havnt done much research regarding these diff and i havnt pulled one apart yet either so im not sure what to expect. Ill give a few places a call tomorrow and see what they recommend and ill post up their response, hopefully it is just a matter of swapping the yolks, best case scenario

called driveline specialist and they werent 100% sure whether it could be done but they said if the spliens for 5sp and 6sp are the same then it should work. Anyone know if they are the same by any chance?..
