Marty the valley in between the cyl banks drains into the bell housing , so check there first ,rear core plug has been known to leak ...very hard to get to ?..good luck and try not to use capitals as it sounds as if you are shouting.

As previous post the valley drains to the bell housing, but more likely that the pipe that runs through the vee into the back of water pump and sealed with an "O" Ring is where it's leaking from seeing as how you have just had it apart. Did you put some "O" Ring grease on the thermo housing and that pipe ? Very easy to pinch it if you are not careful and install it dry.
