So one of the hoses burst, i've replaced it, but the mother in law got a bottle of Valvoline power steering fluid.
I have no idea what is in there already.
Would this be safe to use? or should i get something else and do a flush?

There may be some air pockets in there.
Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.

Fill it up, start the car, and check the level.
It will probably need topping up.

Turn the wheel from one extreme to the other (with the cap on) and recheck.

You may have to do this a few times to get all the air out.

well... it seems to be working lol...
it was noisy before hand, but now it seems REALLY noisy.. maybe just because i've got the bonnet up.. but it is rediculously loud... and when i turn the engine off, i look in the resevoir and it's all 'bubbly' is that normal?
