That’s odd what year as this car as everyone I have ever seen has a twist cap with a dipstick attached. Is there any sort of cap or is the resevoir open to the elements I am just wondering if someone has lost the cap

dont touch the fan while the engine is running, it runs slow and not at all when it's not needed, but then when it is it'll take your hand clean )well bloody and messy) off
mine had a dip stick only on the ps fluid, the fan dont, just a cap and it's written on the top dickstrong 3

mmmmmmm interesting different suppliers most probably And as Andrew said keep your fingers away from the fan you never know when the fan ecu will throw it in. A mechanic I used to work with lost the ends of 3 fingers to a electric fan a couple of years ago

will buy the oil tomorrow. My car over heats every now and then but it does not show up on the temp gauge and when it over heats bad it does not show up on the warning sign on the dash.
It is not the radiator as that has already been replaced.
Will do oil. then thermostat, see if that helps.

Its worth doing a flush as its pretty simple,..pull off the return pipe from the canister (have a can to catch the old fluid)now block the inlet tube on the canister (use some plastic pipe bent up) fill with Dexron 1..2 put the return pipe (from the pump ) in a old jam jar, next slip off acc belt and turn pump by hand until clean fluid starts to fill jar. Fit the return pipe to canister , need to do this quick as not to loose to much fluid.

which one is the return pipe to pull, is it the front bigger one at the front or the thinner one hidden behind, and is it easier to remove from top or under the car, thanks.
