hey guys, I done a search but couldn't find what the problem was or don't think its the same. this is whats happening, the fuel vapor is building up in the fuel tank with no were to go, if i close my fuel cap i get fuel coming out of the charcoal canister breather. so what i do is leave the fuel cap a little bit open so the fuel vapor can escape. I have changed the fuel cap also, and been to about five different mechanic.

i just found this out today that one of the hoses, the bigger one that goes to the charcoal canister is actually taking fuel to it not the fuel vapour

I'm going to take a stab in the dark on this one.

I think you just might be overfilling, and on a hot summer day when the fuel gets very hot the fuel is getting to the canister, instead of vapour?

Maybe the vent control valve in the tank isn't venting at low pressures, causing pressure to buildup and fuel to spurt up the line into the canister?

Depends if you do mostly city or highway driving. I assume the V8 Soarers Tank is about 80L, so that means your getting about 16L/100km fuel economy. A little bit high in my opinion but it seems thats what everybody else gets.

Replacing the oxygen sensors if they are dead will get you better fuel economy.
