Hi everyone, As some of you know i thought i had blown my cats but changed the coil, plugs and leads.
After doing that i had no electrics. I removed all the motor trims again to make sure i didnt have anything trapped but all was clear.
What i did find was a thick lead, i wasnt sure where it had come from maybe the alternator.
I called out the guy who installed the alternator and it turned out that the lead was from the alternator and wasnt sending the message to the ECU.
But my car still sounds loud, and it will not idle, im thinking due to the cats blocked.
So the car is sitting in my carport until next week when i get the cats done.
NEW PROBLEM: When i lost the electrics the steering wheel stayed out, but now that the electrics have been restored the air bag light stays on.
Any suggestions what i can do, ive read about resetting it and have printed out the how to. Is this all that can be done as i did not have any problem with my dash before the electrics went.

Unfortunately Liz, this is the only way to rectify the air bag light problem. You might be lucky and get it to go out first try. Alternatively, it could take dozens of times.

Liz it is easy to fix the air bag light . All you need is a three way toggle switch and some wire , if you can send me an e-mail to mariolentini@msn.com i will show you how to do it and send some pictures of what i used , its fast and you shouldn't have a problem .
