Hi guys.
I've done a search but i cant find specific info on the bearings that need to be changed on the pulleys that run the serpentine belt.
When i go into CBC bearings what should i ask for? Also, if the belt itself is squeaking, could it be because the tensioner is too tight? Is the a torque setting to tighten it up to?
This noise has been driving me crazy so thanks in advance

The tensioner is automatic, there is no setting for it.

Remove the tensioner and the idler and then get the bearings pressed out by a workshop. They generally come out pretty easy and can be done in a vice if you want to.

Not sure what the bearings are off the top of my head but when I did mine recently they were available at Repco off the shelf.

Go and get one from a Holden V6 - costs less than $20 new, and fits the tensioner arm perfectly. - I've been using one for around 4 years now. Of course if the belt is slipping, it could be that the tensioner itself is on the way out. Also it could be a sign your harmonic balancer pulley is on the way out.

There are indicator marks on the tensioner to show you if it's within the correct range.

The tensioner itself generally never needs to be replaced however the bearings in the pulley's on the idler and tensioner definitely do. These bearings are less than $10 each.
