Hi all,

this week and last week i was on a drive for about an hour, when sitting on the highway at 100 and over my car shows it is overheating on the gauge. However when i dropped the car under 100 around 90 it would fall back to half way sometimes 1 bar over.

Any ideas please guys, i'm lost

Don't piss around doing just part of it.

Take the radiator in and get it flow tested. If it's okay replace the coolant, thermostat and radiator cap.

If it's blocked, replace the radiator then do the above.

Matt.

So you replaced the Thermostat , coolant and cap etc 3 months ago and its been overheating since then or only recently?

If it's been like this since you did all that work on it I'd say you could have an air bubble somewhere in the system. If not then check your hoses out and have a look under the car for any coolant stains.

Just the Thermostat and coolant, the problem has only shown in the last two trips in two weeks. I have not noticed any overheating on everyday drives around town.
