i'm confused with my problem. on cold start ups my idle is at like 1500+ rpm and it sometimes loops from 1500-2000 which continuously goes up and down and this only happens in park or neutral. when i shift into gear my idle is at 1000-1100 and the engine seems to be pulling a lot but the looping never occurs which is odd. after driving for a long time and when the car is warm the idle starts to drop slowly and slow until eventually it hits 0 rpm and stalls. after the 1st stall the car doesn't start up unless i give it a gas and it stalls if i let my feet of the pedal. im also having problems when i drive on the freeway. when i let go off the pedal the car jerks suddenly like it slows down or down shifts oddly and it's real dangerous. what type of problem could this be?? ecu related, iacv, fuel, tps, throttle cable?? any help??
i bought an iacv from aliga them but installing the iacv they sent me was even worse. the car didn't start up at all unless i gave it a gas and keep my foot on the pedal. could it possibly be the ecu??? o2 sensor?? coolant sensor??
btw the code im pulling is 24 which is the maf sensor but i replaced that and so far i didn't have a problem with it.
O2 Sensor wouldn't cause a problem like this, neither would a coolant temp sensor.
I am leaning toward problem in the wiring between the ECU and the ISCV, as i have noticed on my Soarer when the connector is unplugged from the ISCV it will loop from 1500-2000 every 2 seconds.
Did the replacement valve have this same looping problem? If so it could be a chance that there is a problem in the wiring or ECU.
I'd start with the ECU since it is as easy as borrowing a replacement ECU that was known to be in good condition and try that.

hey boris, when i have my iscv unplugged the car doesn't start at all.... yes the replacement valve has the looping problem. is there any test to find out if the wiring is my problem?? the thing is when my car stalled out from low idle it didn't start up at all anymore unless i gassed it. so the next day i pulled out the iscv and cleaned it and played with it a little and installed it again. guess what, it started up normally but with the same looping problem and rough idle. maybe it is the wiring?? maybe it is the iscv? i have no clue lol

My problem was a lot like this, but would loop no matter the temp, a replacement of the iacv bearings, and a good clean fixed it. No sign of it since then.
As for where to get them, I'm not sure as you're in Hawaii. Ring your local auto parts store, see what they say-if they are anything like NZ ones, they'll get you them or pass you on to a bearing place. Hopefully it helps with your problem-make sure you clean the whole assembly really well too, and wait for it to dry before putting it back
