When I went to put gas in my 91 Soarer the other day, the ring that you put the gas in came off. I pushed it in hard as I could but once I screwed the gas cap back on it comes loose again and the metal piece comes right off... (Its the part where you screw the cap on)
Is this a common problem? and is there any way to fix this? Fumes are spewing out of my car and getting real bad gas mileage.

Q20. Is a vehicle that is required to meet ADR 37/00 or 37/01 required to be fitted with an Unleaded Fuel Filler Inlet Restrictor?
No. The intention of changes made to the RAWS Evidence Guidelines and registered on 13 September 2006 was to remove requirements for Fuel Filler Inlet Restrictors. This intention was detailed in the explanatory statements for these Guidelines.
Compliance Once imported and through customs, the vehicle is delivered to the RAW who will inspect to ensure it is of acceptable standard, and if so, comply the vehicle. The most common things done during the compliance process are:
:: Fit an unleaded fuel filler restrictor and Unleaded Fuel label
