Nope. It is a huge radiator and it is no longer the middle of summer. Just plain water would keep it plenty cool if the system was in good condition.
Your first post in this thread showed where steam was coming from - which is EXACTLY where the top tank cracks.
Stop rooting around and get an opinion from a radiator shop.

bigger crack is easier to spot. tiny cracks or hard to spot ones give you a false sense of security lol
the radiator guy said hell have it done in half a day, so picking it up tomorrow. couldnt be stuffed waiting for a radiator from the US as its a minimum 10 day wait.
