Hello all,
I'm planing in about 2 weeks time to start replacing a number of components in the car rather than wait for it to break down, what I need if you guys have them ready are Toyota part numbers and if you know the pricing it would cost for the parts, I personally will be replacing these components but just needs a head up as to how much it going to cost me:
what I looking at doing and replacing this is all on a V8 engine - Coil pack - Water pump - Fuel pump (maybe a high performance one) - Timing belt - Spark plugs and leads (any high performance ones you would recomend?) - O2 sensor (where is that btw?) it wouldn't be the air fule managment sensor? And changing this part would it make a huge difference.
Oh and (engine) mods: BFI so any one got a super cheap air box I can hack into send it this way if there is spare cash floating around reprogram the ecu and chip it (any surgestions on piggy back systems?)

I've replaced my engine mounts, spark plug leads, spark plugs, 02 sensor, waterpump, timing belt & so on. Car drives heaps smoother.
You can use your stock airbox you have now. No need for another one. I am willing to come up sometime if you want some help. You'll need an electric jigsaw, and a good socket set to take the drivers side headlight out. Quite simple. The snorkel is really restrictive.

Yeah a airbox cut up session sounds good I could prob get my hands on some plastic sheets and I could bring some of my tools down. We'll work something out "bfi cruise" haha. But yeah sus out a day maybe we go down to down to Geelong could make a day out of it fixing bits and bobs out with our cars
My exams finish up next Tuesday so I guess we could do it any time then.

made my BFI out of perspex lined the sides with corflute for insulation looks the part and makes changing headlight bulbs through the hole in the top of the air box a breeze !
please note blue foam packing has since been replaced with black foam rubber virtually invisible

I'm sure we can all chip in for a large sheet of that. Whatever we need I'm down mate. I'm always free on weekends so let Richard make the day and time?

Yea im down, next weekend if everyone wants.
I measured up the templates, & for whatever extras we may need, total sheeting should come to 350mm x 900mm - so with a full sheet we could make 12 bfi's.
For mine, I need one metre of U shaped rubber, thick and thin for sealing.
Three scrivets or xmas trees.
5 bolts as most are already on the car holding something on.

Sweet as a nut well how about this dan could you sus out the price for the sheeting and foam let us know and we'll all chip in.
As for when, atm I'm about to go at my engine with a pick axe, the engine cranks but doesn't start. Read a couple of forums and hell it sounds like a bucket of fun, huge check list to run through so fingers crossed I get it sorted by tomorrow.

Oh yeah the video ill get cracking on it after Tuesday and I'll bring it on Sunday with some blank DVDs and burn you boys a copy, lol I'm really crap at video editing. What I'll also do is burn the raw dotage on to the DVDs so if you boys want to give it a go on editing the clips.
