Hello guys,

So when it comes to painting mild steel extractors/headers.

What is the best type to use to prevent rusting?

Obviously like anything they will need a repaint to avoid rusting in future, but I just want to get an idea of what is available out there.

I would say I will take the custom headers I am making up to my panel and paint guy too see what he can do.

Cheers

What exactly is ceramic coating? Can you buy the paint and do it yourself? Interested how long it is expected to last too. Thanks for the info. Regards John

I've got my headers ceramic coated. Keeps the heat in, cooler on the outside and engine bay temps down.
