when i put it into reverse i have to hold on the shifter so the light comes on and the reverse lights come on and the reverse beeping sound comes on. once because of this problem i didn't hold the shifter in position to make all the things work etc it was slipping in and out of park and reverse. is there a way to fix this problem. note: this is for my soarer

You need to clean the switch block on the side of the transmission. http://www.planetsoarer.com/reverse/reverse.htm While your doing it can you do mine too This will only fix the reverse lights and indications, and reverse camera etc. But it shouldn't make the car slip between gears. Maybe you need to adjust something as well. Ive not yet looked at how this works on the soarer.
