right in the middle. But on really hot days one notch higher. I imagine they are not all calibrated exactly the same though. So yours might say its one notch below mine but could be the same temp. If your having doubts about either faulty temp sensor or engine is overheating, I'd double check with an aftermarket temp sensor. Dont want to cook the old girl.

oklies, i thought so, just couldn't remember were mine sat and thought it was about there. i just had a problem of overheating one night on the way back from Mackay. i was sitting on 130km and she over heated. it had never done that ever before. had to cool her down the poke home on 70km. flushed the rad, checked the thermostat and also found a bit of corosion build up under one of the rad hoses so i'm thinking that was the prob and she may have been sucking a bit of air. i have only just got it back on the road again , she has been unregoed sitting in my garage for 3 years,,, sheeez its nice to drive.
used to do speeds of 150km (and yes i ran outa points and had to front the judge)for hours on the western roads of QLD and NSw a few years ago in the middle of the day with the aircon on flat and never had a heating prob.
