Hey guys,
About time for another service, however a friend of a friend's who used to do my services and repairs called it quits with backyard repairs, so Im in need of a new mechanic that 1. knows what they are doing (not a bloody falcodore only mech) and 2. wont break the bank balance.
Ive looked at the SA page regarding mechanics however all the entries seem a bit dated (05/06). Does anyone know any reliable and affordable places in Southern/Western Suburbs?

Ah cool. Thanks Layton, I will check it out! (you dont happen to have a black TT soarer do you? I see it cruising round my neighbourhood, single exhaust and bodykit)
I take it his rates arent too bad?
PS guys DO NOT go to St. Mary's Auto Repairs!
I had the guy service my car 1st time round and fix my radiator. Turns out he never even flushed the old coolant out of the system! Seeing as he had to take out the radiator and put new coolant into the whole thing I think its a pretty major oversight! Also he didnt seem to know what he was doing seeing as there was no coolant flow and it took him 3 tries to find that out... Overall major waste of labour $$$.
EDIT: does anyone know the approx price for a new serpentine belt and new pulley? not sure which one though, mechanic told me a while back and I havent inspected yet.

took my GT4 to fours and more, wasn't particularly impressed by them... No MAJOR problems, but there was an issue that i can't remember which made me not want to go back to them...
Chris: if it's just a service (oil change etc) just do it yourself.

@ Chris
Nah its not just oil change.. I need to get the serpentine belt and idler pulleys replaced and I should really get the brakes checked out too. I wish it was a standard fluid change service
@ Wess thanks man, sounds good! Nice to know theres at least someone close by that knows their way around v8 soarers.
