| Thanks for the low price of genuine replacement parts. I think specifically of the TEMS struts for a UZZ31! |

| Thanks for sealing everything with loctite so you make yourself bleed when you finally crack the bolt and your hand goes flying into something. And thanks for making a car that put's any other 20yr old car to shame, by being a masterpiece that was made for the future. |

| And make sure you pass on to your mate Mr Yamaha thanks for putting seventeen bolts and a bunch of brittle plastic between me and the spark plugs I want to check. That makes it quick and easy to check the health of the car between runs. I love this thread. |

| Could be worse - try changing a 1G-FE oil filter in a IS200/Altezza - then you will know true pain. Fortunately the 2JZ-GE in the JZZ31 can be done from the top of the engine with just your hands! Yay! Thank you Toyota! |

I haven't got mine rego'd yet even, but it's my baby Correct me if I'm wrong but, I see it like an abusive husband. Keeps dicking ya round, but you still keep coming back to the old soarer! |

| I was going to say the thing about the alternator! I don't think Anthony thought this thread would catch on. Thank you most of all Toyota for building a car that stands out. People see Skylines, Supras, Eveos, Imprezas and, Commodores, Falcons. But then they see a Soarer and go; What is that? Then you sit back and go yeah, look at my beast. |

I'm pretty sure everyone is just having a bit of "tongue in cheek" fun and paying out a car that they actually love.. Like all those little flaws in your wife or partner that you love and admire.. BTW, my cheap almost stock 1990's technology 2.5l TT just smoked a new expensive 6.0L SS bommadore ute.. Just one more reason why I love my car ... |

Ken first thing first make sure you use GOOD QUALITY ring spanners not cheap sh!t ones...... otherwise you will round and strip the bolts..... I agree they are a cnut to get off because they have that blue loctite on them from factory. I had a bit of trouble with the first one I tried to get off, nothing major but the second one was easier..... no doubt with a bit of money in the swear jar too lol! |

| Thats the problem though, you can't get a ring spanner on it! Not even a flared ring! So even with an expensive open ended spanner you will still the bolt up if its really stuck. |

Some of the comments are some are not such as oil filter location of a 1jz/2jz. It really is a pain if you have ABS. |
