Hi everyone,
I've had a problem with my 91 V8 Soarer the past couple days. It runs ok when the car is cold but as it heats up it runs pretty bad. I can feel it missing particularly under light/normal acceleration, it's harder to notice when my foot is down. it misses when in neutral/park also. The first thing i did was replace the air filter (which was filthy) and tried an injector cleaner. as well as a few ECU resets. its probably running a bit better but it's still happening
I'm running it on BP ultimate. any ideas? Thanks in advance

Try replacing your 02 sensor. It runs on a pre determined setting when cold and once up to a certain temperature it will start to read your exhaust gases. Could be it. Give it a crack..

The v8 will run fine with the O2 sensors disconnected, so try that first. If not, try coil, I would would be looking at the one on the left bank, close to the exhaust manifold.

ok, i've replaced the O2 sensor behind the front right wheel arch. It's still running like a bag of when hot lol. So there's another O2 sensor? Whereabouts is that one, and the coil? As i'm sure this has been done millions of times before is there a link someone can direct me to? I'm still a bit of a newb to the soarers.

ok, is there an easy way to disconnect the coil pack on top of the engine? it seems to be quite difficult to get to. i removed the output plug most of the way off from it (couldn't get it all the way off) and the engine note didn't change at all (shocked my self a few times lol) but i thought there might be some arcing between the output connector plugs so it might actually be acting like its still plugged in. I pulled the power from the other coil above the AC compressor and the engine died. I disconnected the AFM, nothing changed.

Ok, Thanks everyone, all fixed. I believe it was the leads. 3 of them tested open. I replaced all the spark plugs too. Now it's running so smooth. Awesome, have been driving it all night.
