Hey guys,

Just had the 200,000 done on my car and it appears that its running lean now.

car was running fine when i put it in, since i got it back it has started to cough a little once warmed up. Mechanic said it's running lean and put some injector cleaner into the tank.
This was a week ago and the problem is still there. I have unplugged the AFM and found that the cough goes away while unplugged.

Do i need a new AFM?

Thanks guys

i think with AFM not working car will run rich not lean, someone can correct me if am wrong. My check sign come up & it was AFM & car ran really rich until i replace it. Have you check your plug leads that could cause cough.
good luck

check the afm plug connection.

it might be dirty or not seated properly.

o2 sensors on the way out.

put a wideband on and double check.

Seems to have been dirty injectors. Ran injector cleaner though it, its coughing less now.
i have checked the AFM plug. Appreciate the input guys :-)

Scott, will a mechanic's shop have a wideband?
